A great read for all incoming DCP!

Eric does what few other CP/what it's like to work for Disney/memoirs do - he lays out the path that the DCP take on their adventures in Disney in a way that not only gives a step by step guide, but reminds CPs of their roles within the company - cast members. Root warns against the perils of viewing your college program as simply being paid to play in Disney parks, and discusses the values of the college program. Although there are some editing errors, on the whole, I think this is a book any future DCP (including all of you getting ready to descend on WDW in January) should read. There are great tips for every stage of the DCP, from application to graduation (and yes - the goal is to graduate, not self-term!). It also offers friendly reminders that DCP CMs are being paid for a job that a lot of others will never get a chance to do - make magic, while gently reminding folks that making that magic isn't always magical.
